Mon Feb 03 12:58:42 UTC 2025: ## Colorado Woman Convicted of Boyfriend’s Murder After Job Interview Dispute

**Brighton, CO** – Ashley White, 29, has been found guilty of second-degree murder, conspiracy to commit second-degree murder, and robbery in the death of her boyfriend, Cody DeLisa. The Adams County District Attorney’s office announced the verdict following a trial stemming from the 2020 killing.

According to prosecutors, the incident began with a seemingly innocuous text exchange. White, returning home from a job interview in Denver, texted DeLisa about the interview. His skeptical response regarding her chances angered her. While still on the bus, White encountered a stranger, referred to only as “Scott,” who, after White confided in him about an argument with her boyfriend, suggested they kill DeLisa.

White and Scott exited the bus together, practiced shooting Scott’s firearm, and then went to White’s residence. Scott, posing as White’s brother, fatally shot DeLisa twice in the head. The pair subsequently stole DeLisa’s wallet before fleeing the scene. DeLisa’s body was discovered the following day.

White was later identified as a suspect and gave a detailed confession to investigators. District Attorney Brian Mason stated that White’s “callous actions led to the victim’s death” and that she will face significant consequences. White’s sentencing is scheduled for April 4, 2025, before Adams County District Court Judge Jeffrey Ruff. The extent of Scott’s involvement and his current whereabouts remain unclear from the released information.
