Mon Feb 03 15:55:00 IST 2025: ## BJP Leader Accuses Tamil Nadu Government of Anti-Hindu Bias

**Chennai, February 3, 2025** – Union Minister L. Murugan has accused the Tamil Nadu government of being anti-Hindu, citing alleged desecration of a sacred hill and suppression of Hindu protests. Mr. Murugan, a BJP leader, claims a group attempted to convert Thiruparankundram hill, a significant Hindu site, and performed non-vegetarian rituals there, including a Ramanathapuram MP allegedly consuming non-vegetarian food atop the hill. He also alleges vandalism of Jain caves.

The minister criticized the state police for inaction against those involved and for preventing a Hindu Munnani protest. He asserted that the people of Tamil Nadu will rebuke the DMK and its allies in the 2026 Assembly elections for these actions. The Tamil Nadu government and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin are yet to respond to these allegations.
