**MUMBAI, INDIA** – Veteran Bollywood singer Udit Narayan has sparked controversy after a video surfaced showing him kissing female fans during a recent concert performance. The incident, which occurred while Narayan was singing the popular song “Tip Tip Barsa Paani,” shows him kissing several women on the cheek and, in at least one instance, on the lips.
Narayan, speaking to the Hindustan Times, downplayed the incident, attributing the actions to overly enthusiastic fans. He stated, “Fans can be so crazy. We’re not like that, we’re decent people. Some people encourage this and show their love through this. What’s the point of blowing this thing up now?” He further explained that while security was present, the intense enthusiasm of the fans led to the situation. He concluded by calling the actions “just obsession” and urging that the matter not be given undue attention. The singer’s comments have, however, failed to quell the ongoing debate surrounding the appropriateness of his actions.
