**Hyderabad, [Date]:** Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) is accelerating coal production to meet the surging electricity demand as summer temperatures rise. The company aims to supply 260,000 tonnes of coal daily to thermal power plants, according to Chairman and Managing Director N. Balaram.
In a video conference with area general managers, Balaram emphasized the need to remove at least 1.7 million cubic meters of overburden daily to achieve this increased coal output. He specifically directed that coal supply to Karnataka Power Corporation Limited be maintained at a minimum of 11 rakes per day.
Balaram stressed the importance of close coordination with the railway division for efficient transportation and commended the Kothagudem area for its strong performance, urging other areas to improve their output. He also reiterated the company’s commitment to maintaining high coal quality and worker safety.
