**Chandigarh, [Date]** – India’s Union Budget 2025-26 has been lauded by investors and industry bodies as progressive and growth-oriented, particularly for its strong support of MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises). The budget includes measures aimed at stimulating economic expansion and enhancing the power of India’s middle class.

Key highlights include a doubling of credit guarantee cover for MSMEs, a 2.5-fold increase in investment limits, and a doubling of turnover limits. The introduction of customized credit cards for MSMEs is also expected to boost growth and operational efficiency.

Rajiv Aggarwal, president of the Baddi Barotiwala Nalagarh Industries Association (BBNIA), stated that the budget focuses on inclusive development and uplifting household sentiment. He highlighted the significant contribution of MSMEs to India’s economy – employing 7.5 crore people and contributing 36% to manufacturing. Further investment in this sector is expected to generate more jobs.

YS Guleria, general secretary of BBNIA, termed the budget “revolutionary,” emphasizing its positive impact on small businesses, infrastructure, governance, and sustainable development.

Deepan Garg, Vice Chairman of CII Himachal Pradesh, praised the budget’s prioritization of MSMEs, tourism, and agriculture. He believes the relaxed credit norms and tax benefits will encourage entrepreneurship and industrial growth.

The budget also received positive feedback from the Himachal Drugs Manufacturers Association, with president Rajesh Gupta noting that customs duty relief will lead to lower drug costs and boost domestic bulk drug manufacturing.

The overall sentiment among industry leaders is one of optimism, with the belief that the budget’s focus on MSMEs and inclusive growth will significantly contribute to India’s economic expansion and development.
