Sun Feb 02 15:00:00 UTC 2025: ## India Sweeps Bangladesh in Test Series with Dominant Victory
**CHENNAI, INDIA** – India completed a comprehensive 2-0 series victory over Bangladesh, winning the second Test by seven wickets. The win capped off a dominant performance throughout the series, with India showcasing strong batting and bowling displays.
The second Test saw India chase down a modest target with a display of aggressive, T20-style batting on Day 4. The first Test, however, was a more protracted affair. Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja were instrumental in rescuing India from early trouble on Day 1, before Jasprit Bumrah’s four-wicket haul on Day 2 put India firmly in control. A spirited Bangladesh chase on Day 3 of the first Test ultimately proved insufficient to prevent an Indian win. Ashwin again starred in the first Test, contributing significantly to India’s overall dominance. The opening day of the second Test was rain-affected, leaving Bangladesh on 107/3 at the close of play.
This Test series victory comes as India also celebrates success at the Paris Paralympics, where Navdeep Singh’s gold and Simranjeet Kaur’s bronze medal helped boost India’s medal tally to 29. The closing ceremony for the Paralympics was a spectacular event.
