**Dang, Gujarat –** A private bus carrying pilgrims plunged into a deep gorge in Gujarat’s Dang district early Sunday morning, killing five and injuring 17 others. The accident occurred around 4:15 a.m. near the Saputara hill station when the driver lost control, according to in-charge Superintendent of Police SG Patil.
The bus, carrying 48 pilgrims from Trimbakeshwar in Maharashtra to Dwarka in Gujarat, broke through a crash barrier and fell approximately 35 feet. Among the deceased were two women and three men. The injured, suffering from serious to minor injuries, were transported to a civil hospital in Ahwa. The pilgrims were residents of Guna, Shivpuri, and Ashok Nagar districts in Madhya Pradesh. Rescue operations are concluded.
