**New Delhi, February 2, 2025** – Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman described the recently unveiled Union Budget as “by the people, for the people, of the people,” echoing Abraham Lincoln’s famous phrase. In an interview with PTI on Sunday, Sitharaman stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi wholeheartedly supported tax cuts, but convincing the bureaucracy required considerable time.
