**THOOTHUKUDI, February 1, 2025** – The All India Chamber of Commerce and Industries (AICCI) in Thoothukudi has voiced its strong approval of the Union Budget 2025-26, citing several provisions beneficial to various sectors.
Key aspects praised by the chamber include the increase in Kisan Credit Card loan limits for farmers from ₹3 lakh to ₹5 lakh, the expansion of the UDAN regional airport development program, and a new initiative aimed at supporting first-time women entrepreneurs. The inclusion of gig workers in the Prime Minister’s Jan Arogya Yojana health insurance scheme also received commendation.
S. Sankar Marimuthu, president of the AICCI Thoothukudi, specifically highlighted the increase in the income tax exemption limit to ₹12 lakh and the ₹10,000 crore allocation for financial assistance to startups as particularly positive developments.
