**Hyderabad, February 1, 2025** – Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) working president T. Jagga Reddy has accused Union Ministers from Telangana, Bandi Sanjay and G. Kishan Reddy, of failing the state and being perceived as weak. At a press conference on Saturday, Reddy contrasted the BJP ministers’ lack of visible achievements with the Congress’s record during the UPA government’s tenure, citing infrastructure projects like the Outer Ring Road, Metro Rail, Airport, and IIT as examples of Congress’s contribution to Telangana’s development.
Reddy emphasized the Congress-led UPA government’s role in securing a ₹3 lakh crore budget for Telangana, attributing the state’s economic growth to the projects sanctioned during that period. He criticized former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao and implied that current Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s efforts to improve relations with the Centre have been unsuccessful. He dismissed BJP claims of significant central funding to Telangana as mere devolution of funds naturally allocated to all states. Reddy challenged the BJP to point to any project specifically sanctioned by the Union government for Telangana, highlighting the ITIR project sanctioned under the UPA government as an example of what the BJP has failed to achieve.
