**Mysuru, February 1, 2025** – Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah addressed a state-level convention of community health officers in Mysuru on Saturday, emphasizing the crucial role they play in public health and promising to address their concerns. He highlighted the need for collaboration between the government and health workers to prevent diseases, particularly among the poorer sections of society who rely heavily on public healthcare.

Siddaramaiah underscored the importance of early disease detection and public awareness campaigns, stating that preventing illness is more effective than treating it. He advocated for promoting healthy lifestyles and nutrition to reduce the long-term strain on the healthcare system.

The convention saw community health officers raise demands for job security, better pay, and inter-district transfer options. The Chief Minister assured them that the government is committed to their welfare and will consider their requests for salary increases and service regularization.
