Sat Jan 25 00:14:07 IST 2025: ## Secunderabad Railway Police Bust Two Ganja Smuggling Rings

**Hyderabad, January 25, 2025** – Secunderabad Railway Police have successfully apprehended members of two separate gangs involved in the transportation of large quantities of dry ganja. A total of 20.88 kilograms of ganja, valued at over ₹5.2 lakh, was seized in the operation.

In the first instance, Aslam S, a 27-year-old electrician from Chennai, was arrested with 12.29 kilograms of ganja (worth ₹3.07 lakh). He was transporting the drugs from Visakhapatnam to Chennai for his accomplice, Mani, who escaped. Aslam reportedly agreed to the transport in exchange for a new mobile phone.

The second arrest involved Mithun Sethi (33) and Pandav Naik (60), both from Odisha. They were caught with 8.59 kilograms of ganja (worth ₹2.14 lakh) en route from Odisha to Surat, Gujarat. The duo, facing financial difficulties, accepted an offer from an accomplice, Rabindra Dakua (Jabalpur), to transport the contraband for ₹5,000 each. Police are currently searching for Dakua.

Both gangs were apprehended at Secunderabad Railway Station. The successful operation highlights the ongoing efforts of the Secunderabad Railway Police in combating drug trafficking.
