**Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh –** The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), a Hindu nationalist organization, has urged Hindu families to have at least three children to counter what it claims is an imbalance in the community’s population and a declining birth rate. The call was made during a two-day meeting of the VHP’s Central Guidance Board held at the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj.
VHP spokesperson Vinod Bansal stated that the organization’s revered saints believe this is a crucial step to protect the existence of Hindu society. The meeting, attended by prominent figures including Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Avdheshanand Giri and VHP President Alok Kumar, also focused on other key issues.
The VHP reiterated its commitment to reclaiming the Ayodhya, Mathura, and Kashi Vishwanath temples, a long-standing goal dating back to 1984. Furthermore, the organization welcomed recent government reforms to the Waqf Board Act, advocating for greater control over its powers and urging cross-party support for the bill’s passage. The VHP also announced its ongoing nationwide campaign to free Hindu temples from government control, claiming to have secured the support of the saints’ community in this endeavor.
