**Madurai, January 24, 2025** – Water levels in major dams in the region remain stable, according to the latest readings. The Mullaperiyar dam registered a level of 121.85 feet on Friday, below its maximum permissible level of 142 feet. While the inflow was recorded at 329 cusecs, the outflow was higher at 667 cusecs. Meanwhile, the Vaigai dam showed a level of 65.39 feet (maximum 71 feet), with an inflow of 554 cusecs and an outflow of 719 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was reported at 4,946.53 units.
