**Chittor, January 24, 2025** – A 30-year-old man, Mohan, was arrested in Nagari on Friday and charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Mohan is accused of sexually assaulting a three-year-old girl and recording the act.
According to Circle-Inspector Maheshwar, Mohan was acquainted with the victim’s family and had previously engaged in inappropriate touching of the child. On Thursday, while the parents were absent, he allegedly sexually assaulted the girl and filmed the incident. The parents discovered the video on Mohan’s mobile phone and immediately filed a police complaint.
Mohan was subsequently taken into custody, a case was registered, and he has been remanded in judicial custody. The incident highlights the ongoing threat of child sexual abuse and underscores the importance of vigilance and swift action by law enforcement.
