The incident occurred around December 1, 2024, in the Town of Wallkill. According to the US Attorney’s Office, Southern District of New York, the defendants allegedly stormed the home of a small business owner, forcing him and his 10-year-old daughter inside at gunpoint while his wife and three other young children, aged between two and nine, watched in terror.

Acting US Attorney Edward Kim described the robbery as a “violent” act that terrorized a family, while FBI Assistant Director James Dennehy highlighted the violation of the family’s privacy and the trauma inflicted on the children. The case is currently before United States Magistrate Judge Victoria Reznik.
