**New Delhi:** Speculation is rife that former Indian cricket star Virender Sehwag is separating from his wife, Aarti Ahlawat, after two decades of marriage. Reports suggest the couple, who married in 2004, have unfollowed each other on Instagram, fueling rumors of a rift.
Sources close to the family, cited by Hindustan Times, claim Sehwag and Ahlawat have been living separately for several months, with the possibility of a divorce looming. The couple have two teenage sons, Aryaveer and Vedant, born in 2007 and 2010 respectively.
Adding to the speculation, Sehwag’s last family photo on Instagram, posted during Diwali 2024, featured only him, his son, and his mother; Aarti was notably absent. Further fueling the rumors, Aarti was also missing from photos Sehwag shared of a recent visit to the Vishwanath Temple in Palakkad.
Neither Sehwag nor Ahlawat has issued an official statement regarding the separation. Aarti, a Delhi resident, has largely maintained a private profile. She studied at Lady Irwin Secondary School and the Indian Vidya Bhavan before earning a diploma in computer science from Delhi University’s Maitreyi College. The couple’s wedding in 2004 was held at the residence of the late Arun Jaitley, then Finance Minister and DDCA chairman.
