**Dharmapuri, January 23, 2025** – Construction on a new flyover at Thoppur Ghat in Dharmapuri is set to begin soon, according to Dharmapuri Collector K. Shanthi. The Collector, after chairing a meeting reviewing the project’s progress, announced that work would be expedited. The flyover aims to reduce accidents in the area.
Land acquisition is complete, and preliminary work is underway. Collector Shanthi instructed officials to relocate power lines and water pipelines to minimize disruption during construction. Officials from Salem district, where the flyover will conclude at Kadayampatty, were also involved in the planning. The meeting was attended by various officials, including the District Forest Officer Rajangam. The Collector emphasized the importance of minimizing public inconvenience during the construction phase.
