**Chennai, January 23, 2025** – Tamil Nadu Finance Minister Thangam Thennarasu on Wednesday sharply criticized former Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami for failing to condemn the central government’s alleged inaction regarding cyclone relief funds and MGNREGS payments. Mr. Thennarasu highlighted that Chief Minister M.K. Stalin had written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 13th requesting these funds. He accused Mr. Palaniswami of using attacks on the Dravidian Model government as a cover for his own perceived inability to secure the necessary funding. The Minister stated that the BJP-led central government’s indifference to the needs of Tamil Nadu’s poor was unacceptable.
