MILWAUKEE, WI – Sam Kuffel, a popular Milwaukee weather forecaster for CBS58 (WDJT-TV), has been fired from her position. The station confirmed the termination Wednesday, just one day after Kuffel posted strong criticism of Elon Musk on her personal Instagram account.

Kuffel’s posts targeted a gesture made by Musk during a speech at a Donald Trump inauguration event, which some interpreted as a Nazi salute. While the Anti-Defamation League called the gesture “awkward” and cautioned against hasty conclusions, Kuffel’s posts strongly condemned Musk, using expletives and labeling him a Nazi.
