**Nashville, TN (January 22, 2025)** – A 17-year-old student opened fire in the cafeteria of Antioch High School this morning, resulting in one fatality and two injuries. The shooter, whose identity has not yet been released, died by suicide at the scene.

Two school resource officers were on campus but were in a different part of the building when the shooting began, arriving after the incident concluded. Parents were directed to a reunification site away from the school to avoid further disruption.
