**CHENNAI, January 23, 2025** – Residents in four Chennai zones – Madhavaram, Thiru.Vi.Ka.Nagar, Ambattur, and Anna Nagar – are advised to prepare for potential sewage disruptions on Thursday and Friday. Chennai Metrowater announced that sewage pumping stations in these areas (including Villivakkam, Korattur, Ayapakkam, and VOC Nagar) will be temporarily offline due to Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) pipeline interconnection work.
The CMRL work, near Madhavaram Rountana and Moolakadai junction, will take place from 9 a.m. Thursday to 10 p.m. Friday. Residents experiencing issues are urged to contact the respective zone engineers at 8144930903/906/907/908.
