**SAN JOSE, January 23, 2025** – Samsung unveiled its latest flagship smartphone series, the Galaxy S25, featuring significant upgrades in artificial intelligence and a commitment to sustainability. The series, comprising the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25, will be manufactured at Samsung’s Noida plant, one of the world’s largest smartphone manufacturing centers.

The S25 series boasts enhanced AI features, notably an improved “Circle to Search” function that allows for quicker identification and interaction with phone numbers, emails, and URLs. J B Park, President & CEO of Samsung Southwest Asia, highlighted that Indian consumers are the largest users of these AI features. The phones also utilize a customized Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform for Galaxy chipset, providing enhanced processing power for AI functions and improved camera capabilities.

Sustainability is a key focus, with the Galaxy S25 using at least 50% recycled cobalt in its batteries. This marks the first time Samsung has incorporated recycled cobalt sourced from previous devices or manufacturing waste into its flagship phones.

The S25 series is positioned in the super-premium segment, with prices starting at ₹80,999 for the base model and reaching ₹1.65 lakh for the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Samsung is confident the S25 series will surpass the popularity of its predecessor, the S24. A fourth model, the Galaxy S25 Edge, was teased but details on its release date and price remain unavailable.

Samsung’s Bengaluru R&D center, the largest outside South Korea, played a crucial role in developing the Galaxy S25’s AI capabilities. Park expressed optimism about the growth of the Indian smartphone industry in 2025.
