Thu Jan 23 12:42:20 UTC 2025: ## Royal Enfield Launches Scrambler 440 in India

**New Delhi, [Date of Publication]** – Royal Enfield has launched its highly anticipated Scrambler 440 motorcycle in the Indian market. Available in two variants – Trail and Force – the bike is priced at ₹2,08,000 and ₹2,15,000 (ex-showroom) respectively.

The Trail variant comes in blue and green, while the Force variant offers blue, grey, and teal color options. Key differences between the variants include wheel type and tires; the Trail features spoke wheels with tube tires, while the Force boasts alloy wheels and tubeless tires.

Building upon the design of the Royal Enfield Scram 411, the Scrambler 440 features a redesigned LED headlamp, a new seat, a slimmer tail section, and a larger-looking fuel tank. It retains the 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels with block-pattern tires (100-section and 120-section respectively). The fuel tank capacity remains at 15 liters, while the seat height is 795 mm and ground clearance is 200 mm. The bike’s weight has increased to 196 kg.

The Scrambler 440 is powered by a 443cc, single-cylinder, air and oil-cooled engine paired with a 6-speed gearbox. This engine produces 25.4 PS of power at 6,250 rpm and 34 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm – a 1.1 PS and 2 Nm improvement over its predecessor. Royal Enfield claims an improved SOHC valvetrain contributes to reduced NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) levels.

Features include a new instrument cluster similar to the RE Hunter 350, a USB charging port, a Tripper navigation pod, and round rearview mirrors. Suspension consists of a 41mm telescopic fork (190mm wheel travel) at the front and a monoshock (180mm wheel travel) at the rear. Braking is handled by a 300mm disc brake at the front and a 240mm disc brake at the rear, with dual-channel ABS as standard.
