**LOS ANGELES (FOX 11) –** A brush fire ignited along the northbound lanes of the 405 Freeway near Sherman Oaks in the Sepulveda Pass late Wednesday night. The Los Angeles Fire Department reported the blaze, dubbed the Sepulveda Fire, around 11 p.m. on January 22nd. Initial reports estimated the fire at one acre, but further updates were unavailable as of late Wednesday night.
While no formal evacuation orders have been issued, residents in the area are understandably concerned given the proximity to previous wildfires. The area was impacted by the 23,000-acre Palisades Fire last year, which briefly reached parts of Bel-Air and Brentwood. The cause of the Sepulveda Fire remains under investigation.
This is a developing story. FOX 11 News will continue to provide updates as they become available.
