NEW DELHI (January 23, 2025) – The Congress and BJP launched a joint attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi on Wednesday, accusing it of concealing 14 Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) reports from the Assembly. Both opposition parties allege that the AAP is attempting to hide corruption.
Congress leader Ajay Maken cited a purported CAG report indicating a ₹382 crore scam in Delhi’s healthcare sector. He highlighted the AAP’s past criticism of the Congress government based on CAG reports, accusing the party of hypocrisy.
BJP Delhi chief Virendra Sachdeva echoed these sentiments, promising to make the reports public upon winning the upcoming Delhi elections.
In response, the AAP accused the Congress of acting as a BJP proxy, dismissing the allegations and pointing to alleged corruption in BJP-ruled states. The AAP further stated that both Congress and BJP should formally acknowledge an election alliance against them.
