**Madurai, January 23, 2025** – The water level in the Mullaperiyar dam remained stable on Wednesday, according to the latest figures released by The Hindu. The level stood at 122.20 feet, below the maximum permissible level of 142 feet. While the inflow was 331 cusecs, the discharge was higher at 667 cusecs. Meanwhile, the Vaigai dam showed a rise in water level, reaching 65.39 feet (maximum 71 feet), with an inflow of 716 cusecs and a discharge of 519 cusecs. The combined storage in Periyar credit was reported at 5,018.29.
