Wed Jan 22 18:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Former All-Star Tim Anderson Signs Minor League Deal with Angels

**ANAHEIM, CA –** The Los Angeles Angels, coming off their worst season in franchise history (99 losses in 2024), have signed former All-Star shortstop Tim Anderson to a minor league contract. Anderson, who had a disappointing 2024 season with the Miami Marlins before being released in July, will look to revitalize his career in Anaheim.

Anderson, a two-time All-Star and former American League batting champion, struggled significantly this past year, posting a .214 batting average with only three extra-base hits in 65 games. The Angels, however, see potential in the veteran infielder, who could provide depth at a position where they may be relying on younger players in 2025. He’ll work under Angels manager and infield guru Ron Washington. This move presents a second chance for Anderson, who is just three years removed from his last All-Star appearance.
