Wed Jan 22 13:17:54 UTC 2025: **Swiggy Delivery Partner Accused of Stealing Cricket Tickets in Kolkata**

KOLKATA, INDIA – Actress Swastika Mukherjee has highlighted a case of alleged theft involving a Swiggy delivery partner who is accused of stealing two tickets to the India vs. England T20I match at Eden Gardens. The tickets, belonging to Mukherjee’s manager, Shristi Jain, were reportedly stolen on Tuesday while being delivered via the Swiggy Genie service.

Jain’s post on Instagram, which Mukherjee shared, details how the delivery partner, after initially showing the delivery as “en route,” blocked Jain and her partner’s phone numbers and marked the order as “delivered” at 5:37 am, despite the tickets never arriving. The tickets were intended for Jain’s partner’s father, a cricket enthusiast who had traveled from Kanpur to attend the match.

Jain expressed frustration over the lack of assistance from Swiggy, despite the company possessing the delivery partner’s details. She questioned Swiggy’s responsibility in ensuring safe delivery and the impact this incident has on customer trust. As of press time, Swiggy has not publicly responded to the allegations. The incident has sparked outrage online, with many questioning the company’s security protocols for high-value deliveries. The police have been involved, but the tickets have yet to be recovered.
