**Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, India** – Gautam Adani, chairman of the Adani Group, participated in the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, India, on Tuesday. Adani, along with his family, offered prayers at the Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers. He also actively participated in serving *Mahaprasad* (sacred meals) at the ISKCON temple camp at the Kumbh Mela, a collaboration between the Adani Group and ISKCON to provide meals to devotees throughout the festival.
The Adani Group’s involvement in the Maha Kumbh Mela extends beyond food distribution. Earlier this month, the group partnered with Gita Press to distribute one crore (10 million) free copies of *Aarti Sangraha*, a collection of Hindu devotional hymns. Adani announced this initiative on X (formerly Twitter), stating that the Maha Kumbh is a “great yagya (sacrifice) of Indian culture and religious faith.” He expressed gratitude towards Gita Press for their century of service to the nation through Sanatan Sahitya (Hindu scriptures). Adani described selfless service as a form of patriotism and equated it with meditation, prayer, and divinity.
The Maha Kumbh Mela, the world’s largest religious gathering, began on January 13th and is scheduled to conclude on February 26th. The Adani Group’s significant contributions to the event highlight its commitment to religious and cultural initiatives in India.
