Mon Jan 20 12:10:00 UTC 2025: ## Teenager Pleads Guilty to Triple Murder at Taylor Swift Dance Class

**Liverpool, England** – Axel Rudakubana, 18, pleaded guilty today to the murders of three young girls and the attempted murder of ten others at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in Southport last summer. The attack, described as the worst targeted attack on children in Britain since Dunblane, shocked the nation and sparked widespread outrage.

Rudakubana admitted to killing nine-year-old Alice da Silva Aguiar, six-year-old Bebe King, and seven-year-old Elsie Dot Stancombe. He also pleaded guilty to ten counts of attempted murder, involving eight children and two adults. The attack took place at the Hart Space community centre on July 29th.

In addition to the murder and attempted murder charges, Rudakubana pleaded guilty to possessing terrorist material – a copy of an Al-Qaeda training manual – and producing the toxin ricin. While ricin was found at his home, Merseyside Police confirmed no evidence of the poison was found at the scene of the attack, and the event has not been declared a terrorist incident.

The teenager, who was 17 at the time of the attack, appeared in Liverpool Crown Court wearing a face mask. He initially refused to confirm his identity or stand before ultimately entering his guilty pleas in a barely audible voice. Sentencing is scheduled for Thursday.

The victims’ families have released heartbreaking tributes. Alice’s parents described her as “our perfect dream child,” while Bebe’s parents said she was “full of joy, light and love.” Elsie’s parents remembered her as a “devoted Swiftie” who “brought light, love and joy to so many lives.”

The attack led to widespread riots across the country and has left the Southport community devastated. While Rudakubana was initially granted anonymity due to his age, a judge lifted the order shortly before his 18th birthday. The other children injured in the attack remain unnamed for legal reasons. The case is expected to conclude with sentencing on Thursday.
