**CHENNAI, January 19, 2025** – The Madras Canine Club’s All Breeds Championship dog show concluded Sunday, with a dazzling display of canine talent and a celebratory awards ceremony. Over 350 dogs participated in the two-day event, marking the 143rd, 144th, and 145th shows.
Top honors went to two German Shepherds and a Doberman, showcasing the breeds’ dominance. However, Indian breeds also shone, with a Caravan Hound winning in the Best Indian Breed category, highlighting the diversity of participants. Prashanth Pachi’s Doberman took home the Best Puppy award, while experienced handler Surya Krishna showcased the winning Caravan Hound.
The event also featured specialty shows organized by the Great Dane Club of India and the Doberman Pinscher Confederation of India. Families, like that of AyatiWorks CEO Upendran Nandakumar, attended, expressing their love for dogs and the hope that their children will also participate in future shows. Madras Canine Club president C.V. Sudarsan and other club members were present at the awards ceremony. The show served as a testament to the enduring popularity of dog shows in Chennai and the dedication of breeders and handlers.
