**Malappuram, Kerala, January 19, 2025** – K. Mohammedunni Haji, a prominent leader of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) and former MLA of Kondotty, passed away at his residence in Pookottur on Saturday evening. He was 82.

Haji, who served two terms in the Kerala Legislative Assembly (2006-2011), had a long and distinguished career in public service. Before his political career, he served as the president of Pookottur grama panchayat (1998-2006) and held chairmanship positions at Malappuram Spinning Mill and United Electrical Ltd. He also served as the IUML’s Kondotty constituency secretary.
