**Madurai, Tamil Nadu, January 16, 2025** – The Madurai City Police celebrated Pongal with a vibrant community event at the Armed Reserve Grounds on Thursday. Commissioner of Police J. Loganathan, dressed in traditional attire and accompanied by his family, inaugurated the festivities by lighting a lamp.

The celebration included traditional activities such as kolam and rangoli drawing, sweet pongal preparation, and various games for attendees. Commissioner Loganathan presented prizes to the winners. Several Deputy Commissioners of Police were also in attendance. The event showcased a festive spirit and strong community engagement within the Madurai Police department.
