**Hyderabad, January 17, 2025** – A 28-year-old man, Alakunta Narsimha, was arrested in Hyderabad on Thursday for allegedly bludgeoning his father to death following a drunken argument. The incident occurred at their rented residence in Peddamma Colony, Shamirpet.
Police reports indicate that Narsimha initially attacked his mother with a wooden pestle during an argument on January 14th. When his father, A. Hanmanthu (50), intervened, Narsimha struck him on the head and forehead with the same weapon. He then threw a brick at his fleeing father, causing severe bleeding.
Hanmanthu was rushed to a hospital but was declared dead on arrival. Narsimha has been charged with murder and is currently in police custody. The body has been sent to Gandhi Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
