**Hyderabad, January 16, 2025** – Telangana’s IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu met with Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw in New Delhi on Wednesday to seek central government support for the state’s participation in India’s semiconductor mission.

Mr. Babu highlighted Telangana’s contributions to the nation’s semiconductor ecosystem and requested assistance in furthering the state’s role. The meeting also addressed the need for a national disaster recovery zone for data centers in Telangana, emphasizing the importance of business continuity and data security.

Mr. Babu congratulated Mr. Vaishnaw on the progress of the India Semiconductor Mission and briefed him on Telangana’s advancements in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. He extended an invitation to Mr. Vaishnaw to attend the Bio Asia Summit in Hyderabad on February 24th. Both ministers expressed their commitment to continued collaboration to strengthen Telangana’s position within the national semiconductor ecosystem.
