Thu Jan 16 16:22:06 UTC 2025: **Bengaluru, January 16, 2025:** The SBI Foundation and NSRCEL IIM Bangalore launched the “Incubating Incubators Initiative (i-Cube)” on National Start-up Day, aiming to bolster entrepreneurial ecosystems in underserved Indian regions. This initiative, part of SBI Foundation’s “Innovators for Bharat” program and NSRCEL’s “Ecosystem Capacity Building Initiative,” will focus on establishing and strengthening incubation centers in the northeast, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and other underrepresented areas.

i-Cube will provide comprehensive resources, mentorship, and strategic guidance to existing incubators and accelerators, helping them expand their services and increase their impact. The initiative plans to collaborate with state missions, educational institutions, and government bodies to empower entrepreneurs, particularly women and youth, in these historically disadvantaged areas.

Sanjay Prakash, Managing Director of SBI Foundation, highlighted the initiative’s goal of supporting high-impact incubators tackling developmental challenges. Anand Sri Ganesh, CEO of NSRCEL, IIM Bangalore, emphasized i-Cube’s role in bridging the entrepreneurial infrastructure gap in underserved regions, fostering innovation, job creation, and economic growth.
