ROSELLE, NJ – Roselle Catholic High School will honor alumnus Naz Reid with a special jersey retirement ceremony on Thursday, January 16th, at 7 p.m. The event, taking place during halftime of the boys basketball game against Westfield High School, celebrates Reid’s remarkable journey from Roselle Catholic to the NBA.

Reid, the 2024 NBA Sixth Man of the Year for the Minnesota Timberwolves, led Roselle Catholic to two Tournament of Champions titles (2015, 2018) before playing one season at LSU. Despite going undrafted in 2019, he quickly established himself as a key player in the NBA.

“Retiring his jersey reflects the immense pride our school community has for Naz,” said Roselle Catholic Principal Tom Berrios. The ceremony will include speeches from Reid, former coaches, teammates, and students, along with a highlight reel of his career.

Tickets for the event are available for purchase in advance. The public is invited to attend and celebrate Reid’s achievements.
