Thu Jan 16 16:02:32 UTC 2025: ## Realme Unveils 14 Pro+ with Significant Upgrades Over its Predecessor, the 13 Pro+
**New Delhi, India** – Realme has launched its latest flagship smartphone, the Realme 14 Pro+, boasting several key improvements over its predecessor, the Realme 13 Pro+. The most notable upgrades include a larger battery, enhanced water resistance, a superior processor, and a refined camera system.
The Realme 14 Pro+ features a striking design with a color-changing panel and a substantial 6000mAh silicon-carbon battery supporting 80W fast charging (50% charge in 24 minutes). This is a significant leap from the Realme 13 Pro+’s 5200mAh battery, which also supports 80W charging (50% in 19 minutes). While the 13 Pro+ boasts slightly faster charging to 100%, the 14 Pro+ prioritizes longer battery life.
Durability is also enhanced. The 14 Pro+ achieves IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance, surviving submersion in 1.5 meters of water for up to 60 minutes, surpassing the 13 Pro+’s IP65 rating.
Camera capabilities see subtle improvements. Both phones sport a 50MP primary wide-angle lens with OIS, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide lens. However, the 14 Pro+ adds a color spectrum sensor and triple-LED flash, while the 13 Pro+ features a single LED flash. The selfie camera is also upgraded, with a wider f/2.2 aperture on the 14 Pro+ compared to the f/2.5 aperture on the 13 Pro+, promising better low-light performance.
Under the hood, the Realme 14 Pro+ is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, a step up from the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 in the 13 Pro+. This promises a noticeable performance boost. Both phones feature AMOLED displays with 120Hz refresh rates, but the 14 Pro+ boasts a slightly larger 6.83-inch screen compared to the 13 Pro+’s 6.7-inch display. The 13 Pro+ however offers HDR image support.
The Realme 14 Pro+ (8GB+256GB) is priced at ₹34,999 (approximately $425 USD) with a ₹2000 bank discount, launching January 23rd. The Realme 13 Pro+ (8GB+256GB) is currently listed at ₹30,999 (approximately $375 USD) with a potential ₹3000 bank discount. The price difference highlights the premium paid for the upgraded features in the newer model.
