**Chennai, January 16, 2025** – A vibrant celebration of Indo-Russian cultural ties is set to unfold across Tamil Nadu with the 22nd Annual Russian Dance Festival. The festival, running from January 17th to February 3rd, will feature the acclaimed Orchid youth dance studio from Rostov-on-Don, Russia.

Organized jointly by the Indo-Russian Cultural and Friendship Society and the Russian House, Chennai, the festival promises a diverse range of performances. Audiences can expect ballet, folk dances, gypsy dances, acrobatics, gymnastics, and tap dancing.

P. Thangappan, secretary-general of the Indo-Russian Cultural and Friendship Society, emphasized the festival’s role in strengthening the bond between India and Russia. He highlighted the performances as a testament to the shared commitment to fostering international relations.

The festival’s inauguration will take place at the Russian House in Chennai, with free admission. Performances will also be held at various locations across the state, including schools, colleges, malls, trade fairs, and clubs.
