**Mumbai, India** – Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is recovering after a shocking knife attack at his Bandra home early this morning. The 54-year-old actor sustained six stab wounds, including one to his spine, during a struggle with an intruder.

Police have confirmed that the actor was attacked around 2 AM after the intruder, who allegedly entered the building through a rear fire escape, gained access to Khan’s apartment. Khan’s house help reportedly alerted the actor to the presence of the intruder, leading to a confrontation.

According to Dr. Nitin Dange of Lilavati Hospital, where Khan underwent emergency surgery, the actor suffered severe injuries to his thoracic spinal cord from a knife lodged in his spine. The knife was successfully removed, and leaking spinal fluid was repaired. Khan also received treatment for additional deep wounds to his left hand and neck. Dr. Dange confirmed that Khan is now stable and out of danger.

The intruder, whose identity has not yet been publicly released, is believed to have intended to commit burglary. Police have reviewed CCTV footage showing the suspect entering and exiting the building through the rear. Investigators are questioning Khan’s house help and are currently pursuing multiple leads to apprehend the suspect.

Questions remain regarding the security protocols at the high-rise building, which houses several other Bollywood celebrities, and how the intruder managed to enter Khan’s apartment undetected. Police are investigating the response of security guards on duty. Senior police officer Dixit Gedam stated that the investigation is ongoing and further details will be released upon the arrest of the suspect.
