**PUNE, India (January 16, 2025)** – The 77th Indian Army Day celebrations culminated in Pune with a breathtaking 90-minute spectacle titled “Gaurav Gatha” (Saga of Glory). The event, attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, CDS Gen Anil Chauhan, and Army Chief Gen Upendra Dwivedi, showcased India’s military history using a captivating blend of live demonstrations and cutting-edge AI-generated imagery.

Held at the Bombay Engineers Group and Centre, the show vividly depicted India’s military evolution, from ancient epics like the Ramayana and Mahabharata to modern warfare. AI-powered visuals brought to life legendary battles, showcasing figures like Lord Ram and Arjun alongside modern combat scenarios. The event also highlighted the contributions of women warriors like Rani Laxmibai and Rani Abbakka.

The extravaganza featured live tank demonstrations, performances showcasing traditional martial arts like Gatka and Kalaripayattu, and a drone show. The “robotic mule,” a new addition to the army’s arsenal, also made its first appearance at the Army Day parade.

A key element of the show was “Project Udbhav,” an initiative integrating India’s ancient strategic wisdom into contemporary military strategies. The project aims to enhance India’s defense capabilities by drawing on the nation’s rich heritage in statecraft and military tactics.

The use of AI was particularly praised, with attendees describing the realistic depictions of historical events and figures as “surreal.” A senior Army official attributed the success to a collaborative effort between internal Army talent and civilian partners specializing in AI technology.

The show concluded with a display of pride and patriotism, providing a fitting end to the Army Day celebrations, marking the first time the annual parade was hosted in Pune.
