ARLINGTON, TX – The Dallas Cowboys have officially requested an interview with Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kellie Moore for their head coaching vacancy, according to NFL Media. The 36-year-old Moore has a strong connection to the Cowboys, having served as a backup quarterback (2015-2017) before transitioning into coaching, eventually rising to offensive coordinator (2019-2022) under Jason Garrett and Mike McCarthy.
After a brief stint as offensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Chargers, Moore returned to the NFC East with the Eagles. In his most recent season, he guided a Philadelphia offense that ranked among the league’s best, finishing 8th in total yards and 7th in points scored, while leading the league in rushing yards. Moore boasts an impressive track record as an offensive coordinator, including three top-10 finishes in total yards and two number one finishes.
Given owner Jerry Jones’ past coaching hires, Moore is considered a strong contender for the position. While other candidates are expected to be interviewed, his experience and success with the Cowboys and Eagles make him a prominent favorite.
