Bengaluru, January 16, 2025 – The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced the dates for the Common Entrance Test (CET-2025), a crucial exam for admissions to various professional courses in the state. The exam will be held on April 16th and 17th, with the Kannada language test scheduled for April 18th.
This year’s CET features several reforms aimed at enhancing security and preventing fraud. A key change is the introduction of OTP-based registration, requiring candidates to use their mobile number for login. The system will also automatically fetch reservation details based on entered caste/income certificates and Student Achievement Tracking System (SATS) numbers. A common application form will be used for all courses, including medical, dental, AYUSH, and others.
Online applications will be accepted from January 23rd to February 21st. The exam schedule includes Physics and Chemistry on April 16th, and Mathematics and Biology on April 17th. Candidates will receive SMS updates at each stage of the application process, and document verification will primarily be handled online. Those needing in-person verification will be notified and will not need to visit BEO offices. Separate exams are also scheduled for diploma admissions (May 31st), postgraduate courses (May 31st), and MBA/MCA and M.Pharm/Pharm-D admissions (June 22nd). Application periods vary for these exams.
