**Prayagraj, India** – The Kumbh Mela, one of the world’s largest religious gatherings, commenced with great fanfare in Prayagraj today. Over one million devotees thronged the Sangam (confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and mythical Saraswati rivers) on Paush Purnima to take a holy dip. This auspicious occasion marks a rare celestial alignment, occurring only once every 144 years.
