Mon Jan 13 15:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Ram Charan’s “Game Changer” Suffers Box Office Dip After Strong Opening

**HYDERABAD, INDIA** – Ram Charan’s highly anticipated film, “Game Changer,” experienced a significant drop in box office collections over its opening weekend, despite a strong initial showing. While the film raked in a massive ₹51 crore (approximately $6.2 million USD) on its opening day (Friday), collections plummeted to ₹21.6 crore and ₹17 crore on Saturday and Sunday respectively. This resulted in a total domestic nett collection of ₹89.6 crore (approximately $10.9 million USD) over the three-day weekend.

The film’s decline is attributed to mixed reviews from critics and audiences, as well as the concurrent release of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s “Daaku Maharaaj.” While initial global box office figures were reported at ₹186 crore on day one, the overall weekend gross is estimated to be in the ₹250-300 crore range.

Interestingly, while the Telugu version saw the most significant drop, the Hindi version showed relatively consistent performance, even increasing its earnings on Sunday. This suggests a stronger reception in the Hindi-speaking regions compared to the Telugu market. The competition from “Daaku Maharaaj,” which opened with ₹22.5 crore on Sunday, is also expected to continue impacting “Game Changer’s” performance. With another film, “Sankrantiki Vasthunnaam,” slated to release on January 14th, the coming week will be crucial for the Ram Charan starrer. The film’s ultimate success remains uncertain.
