**Ayodhya, India** – The city of Ayodhya is celebrating the first anniversary of the enthronement of Ram Lalla in the newly constructed Ram Temple. The ceremony, known as Pran Pratishtha, took place on January 22, 2024, marking the culmination of a centuries-long struggle. However, according to the Hindu Panchang (calendar), the auspicious date falls between January 11th and 13th, 2025.
The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has decided to celebrate this anniversary, dubbed “Pratishtha Dwadashee,” annually, alongside major festivals like Diwali and Ram Navami. This year’s celebration is particularly significant as Pratishtha Dwadashee falls twice – once in January and again in December.
Dr. Anil Mishra, a member of the Trust, stated that Pratishtha Dwadashee will be observed internationally, mirroring the widespread lighting of lamps in temples across India on the day of the original enthronement. The Trust aims to establish Pratishtha Dwadashee as an annual event of national and international importance.
