**New Delhi:** Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, seeking re-election from Kalkaji in the upcoming February 5th Assembly elections, strongly condemned her BJP rival Ramesh Bidhuri for allegedly making indecent remarks about her and her family. In a press interview, Atishi accused Bidhuri of making inappropriate comments about both her and Priyanka Gandhi within 24 hours of receiving his election ticket. She criticized the BJP for its silence on the matter, interpreting it as tacit approval of Bidhuri’s behavior.
Atishi also highlighted the success of her crowdfunding campaign, launched Sunday morning. The initiative, aiming to raise Rs 40 lakh for her election campaign, garnered Rs 17 lakh in donations within 10 hours, largely from small individual contributions. She presented this as a testament to AAP’s commitment to transparency and honest fundraising.
Addressing BJP allegations of AAP aiding illegal immigration, Atishi questioned the BJP-led central government’s border security, suggesting they are responsible for any potential infiltration of Rohingyas and Bangladeshis into Delhi. She emphasized her strong connection with the Kalkaji constituency, viewing it as her “Karmbhumi” and expressing confidence in securing the voters’ support again. The Delhi Assembly elections are scheduled for February 5th, with results to be announced on February 8th.
