**Cape Canaveral, FL** – Blue Origin successfully launched its New Glenn rocket for the first time today from Launch Complex 36 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The mission, designated NG-1, marked a significant milestone as the rocket’s first National Security Space Launch certification flight. The launch carried the Blue Ring Pathfinder payload into a medium Earth orbit (MEO).
Following a successful liftoff, the first stage of the New Glenn rocket autonomously landed on a downrange platform in the Atlantic Ocean. The second stage, powered by two BE-3U engines, then propelled the payload into space. The fairing separated as planned, leaving the Blue Ring Pathfinder attached to the second stage for the duration of the mission.
High-resolution images of the launch are available for download from Blue Origin’s official gallery. The company encourages sharing the images with proper credit.
This successful launch represents a major step forward for Blue Origin’s ambitious space program and its reusable rocket technology.
