Sat Jan 11 23:30:00 UTC 2025: ## Ole Miss Rebels to Face LSU Short-Handed
**Oxford, MS** – The No. 23 ranked Ole Miss Rebels men’s basketball team will be without forward Mikeal Brown-Jones for their upcoming game against LSU on Saturday. Brown-Jones, who is averaging 6.1 points and 2.2 rebounds per game in his first season with the Rebels, will miss his second consecutive game due to an undisclosed injury suffered against Georgia.
This leaves Ole Miss facing LSU, who are themselves without junior forward Jalen Reed due to a season-ending ACL tear. Reed averaged 11.1 points and 6.5 rebounds per game before his injury. LSU is currently 11-4 (0-2 SEC) after losses to Vanderbilt and Missouri.
Despite the absences, Ole Miss, currently 13-2 (2-0 SEC), is favored to win Saturday’s game, with ESPN giving them a 77.4% chance of victory. The Rebels are coming off a road win against Arkansas, a game in which they overcame the absence of Brown-Jones to secure their 13th win of the season. The game tips off at 5 p.m. CT at the SJB Pavilion.
